Following the announcement that former world champion Andy Moore and team manager Hiroyuki Kasuya ended their long-term deals with HB-HPI Racing, Freddy Südhoff has done the same. The German touring car specialist posted the following to his Facebook page around 11:10 AM CT:
"I would like to take the opportunity to let you know that I have by mutual consent ended my contract with HPI/ HB inc.
Sometimes, things change faster then expected and even it was a short time, I truly enjoyed this and it was great to work with some of the biggest names in RC business together. Thanks to the whole HPI crew around the world. You guys taught me a lot!
I wish you all the best for the future."
Südhoff joined HB at the end of the 2014 season during what even then seemed an unsustainable signing spree by HB-HPI - and today's news adds onto what seems to be an unfortunate downward trend for the brand.
