RC Tracks of Las Vegas club racer Michael Christian was diagnosed with Fanconi Anemia, a rare genetic disease, back in 2013 - and in order to pursue full recovery he'll need a bone marrow transplant.
First, that requires finding a match. And second, it requires a lot of expensive medical bills.
RC Tracks of Las Vegas owner Chris Tocco decided to help with both, and organized a one-day race, fundraiser and donor drive for Be the Match, the national bone marrow donor registry, scheduled on April 16. Not only will the track donate 100% of the race entry profits, but RC Tracks of Las Vegas and A1 Carpet Care will match the figure up to $1000.
You can register to be a bone marrow donor, or donate to help thousands of people diagnosed with blood and bone marrow diseases, by visiting the Be the Match website, www.bethematch.org
