Zanchettin announced split from Team Losi Racing

21-year-old Italian off-road racing champion Alex Zanchettin announced via Facebook that he has ended his relationship with Team Losi Racing after six years. During his time with TLR, Zanchettin raced his way into the IFMAR Worlds final in front of the home-country crowd in 2014 and also captured the Italian national championship the following year.

Zanchettin made the following statement shortly before 11:15 AM CT this morning:

"Hi guys,

Last november, after almost 6 years, I ran my last race with Team Losi Racing. I would say "thank you" to all TLR people who have shared this long journey with me. Especially to Kevin, Todd, Mike and all other US guys.

Many thanks also to all VSA team and all guys of Italian TLR.

A special thank to Francesco. He helped me in every situation. I will never be grateful enough!

Now it's time to start a new project and i will be ready for it!

See you at the track soon!"

As for that "new project," Joseph Quagraine at JQRacing speculated yesterday that Zanchettin will sign with Tekno RC - and will also leave REDS Racing for a new engine sponsor.
