Maifield moved atop Top 25 RC standings after DNC win

Ryan Maifield dominates the 2017 Nitro Challenge to become the #1 Ranked driver in the world on one of the most challenging tracks in recent history. It's worth mentioning that Maifield pulled off a Nitro Challenge first by sweeping the Nitro buggy, Ebuggy, and Nitro Truck classes (although only Nitro Buggy counts toward the Top 25 rankings) An Impressive debut for his new Mugen rides. Another driver making a impressive debut was former #1 Ty Tessmann who TQ'd the event. Ty looked to be a major challenger until a mechanical failure took him out of the race which dropped him to the #2 Ranking. Ryan Cavalieri took 3rd at the event, moving him up to the #3 ranking and nipping on the heels of Tessmann's #2 spot. Elliot Boots finished 2nd and moves up to the #4 ranking and getting very close to World Champion David Ronnefalk's #3 Ranking who finished 6th. Some drivers that didn't have the best event was Robert Battle (24th) and Cole Ogden (20th) Both drivers fell in the rankings as a result.
