702 RC Raceway announces expansion and new location at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Commerce Center

After 9 yrs in the same location, 702 RC Raceway will be expanding to a new location during the month of May. We are excited to relocate to a less congested area more conducive for our business model and racing culture. Our new building will be located at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Commerce Center. The address is 6875 Speedway Blvd. #U103. What says racing more than the Las Vegas Motor Speedway!

Here are a few details to look forward to with the relocation:

702 RC Raceway Track Expansion

The new location will have plenty of great parking, indoor restroom facilities, and is easily accessed from I-15 . The expansion will allow us to have a larger track. Our current track size is 60X80, the new track will be 60X110. The track surface will be upgraded to the the CRC Fasttrak II (Black) carpet. NOTE: With the installation of the black carpet, we will make chassis protectors mandatory and shock tower protectors on our buggies if available for our off-road program. All rules are posted on our rules and classes page on our website. The driver's stand will be moved back from the track and extended to 60ft wide.

The pit area capacity will remain the same; however we will have room for additional pit spaces for any future large events. The hobby shop will be larger and located in the track area for a more open and customer friendly concept. Of course, we will bring our racers lounge back with monitors for LiveRC and an expanded television entertainment package. Monitors will be placed throughout the facility so race results will be visible from different areas.

None of this would be possible without so many great racers and volunteers here in the Las Vegas valley and everyone who has shown us the commitment and support to keep pushing forward. We want to give special thanks to Scotty Ernst, who has supported us from day one, as well as many of our great vendors who have stepped up over the years.

Our time schedule is to re-open at our new facility on June 2. Besides our regular club racing schedule, our first race event will be the Las Vegas Gran Prix on June 16, Followed by the July Jamboree and the High Rollers On-Road race in July.
