“With all of the buzz and excitement generated last year, we’re thrilled to host the State Championships again and we plan on making it even bigger and better,” said Cramer Giddens current Chairman of S.C.O.R.E. RC Club.

Drivers from all over the Southeast will race in 1/10th and 1/8th scale electric and nitro fueled classes for a chance to take home the title of state champion. During the event remote controlled cars will travel at speeds up to 40 miles per hour as they race around the outdoor track and over jumps launching them into the air.

The event will be co-hosted by BeachRC.com, which is an online hobby shop servicing all types of remote controlled vehicles, planes, and other hobbies.

“We are excited to partner with Phil Hurd and continue our support of one of the greatest tracks and clubs in the South East. We couldn't be more proud to host the 2018 Georgia State Off-Road Championships. With such a great club and atmosphere it is hard not to be involved,” said Brent Densford who is the owner of BeachRC.com

The three day event is open to the public and free for spectators. Spectators are allowed access to the pits and are encouraged to talk with drivers about the hobby.

“If anyone has ever thought about getting into remote controlled racing then this is a great opportunity for folks to watch world class racers and to learn more about the hobby at the same time,” said S.C.O.R.E. member Jake Crawley.

Racers can visit www.PhilHurdRC.com for registration information and further details. The cost for registration is $40 for the first class and $30 for each additional class. Trophies will be awarded to the top five finishers in each class along with a number of raffles that feature giveaways from event sponsors.
