Rumors, rumors, rumors...always causing trouble! Rumors of all sorts have been flying around the industry regarding the upcoming ROAR 1:8 Fuel Offroad Nationals, and to address the issue ROAR has released the following information:
  • Per the official race flyer, there WILL be controlled practice on Wednesday June 12th. This is one day of practice that is allowed at the track’s discretion. This is nothing new and has been done numerous times in the past. There will be a track fee, $10 per vehicle.
  • Wednesday practice will be controlled and run in heats. This is being done to level the playing field and assure all the drivers have an equal number of opportunities to get on the track. This also assures corner marshal duties are handled.
  • There WILL NOT be a club race. Wednesday is practice only.
  • The race format will be IFMAR style ladder for buggy, and standard lower mains and A Main style format for Truggy. This is being done to assure the truggy racing can be completed and limit the conflicts between the two classes, as well as take the burden off drivers who are in both mains. One set of ladder mains, semis, and finals is already a burden, and two is near impossible for a driver in both finals. A final schedule will be posted at the track as soon as it is available, but no later than Thursday afternoon.
