Surprising news has shook the offroad world today as Lee Martin has announced his departure from the Tamiya TRF offroad racing team. This decision is said to be made by Tamiya as Lee states, "Tamiya TRF have chosen to reduce operations in the off road market for the foreseeable future, therefore they are not continuing my contract."

This comes as a bit of a surprise after Martin just missed the IFMAR World Championship win at the recent 1:10 Offroad Worlds (still finishing an impressive 2nd overall), in addition to a long list of success the two have had together.

Lee Martin is locked in with Mugen Seiki for his 1:8 scale offroad program (or so we assume), but this leaves him a free agent for the time being in the 1:10 offroad market.
