1:8 Onroad legend Lamberto Collari has confirmed his entry for Round 2 of the Euro Nitro Series which takes place in Austria over the weekend of May 16-18. The winner of the opening round of the all new nitro onroad championship in Melzo, Italy, last month, the 9-time World Champion is one of a number of top Italian drivers who will travel to the Aigen track in Northern Austria. Also confirmed from Italy for the second of the four events that make up the inaugural ENS race calendar are 2-time 1:10 European Champion Dario Balestri (Capricorn), 1:10 World Championship podium finisher Francesco Tironi (Shepherd), Round 1 1:8 A-Finalist Andrea Pirani (WRC) and former Euro B Champion Mirko Salemi (BP Racing).
 
Collari, who won the season opener at the controls of his privately entered OS powered Mugen, is again set for a thrilling duel with factory Mugen/Picco driver Robert Pietsch who is also confirmed for Round 2. Other top contenders to have already made their entry for Austria include Round 1 podium finisher Simon Kurzbuch (Shepherd), finalists Silvio Hachler (KM Racing), Oliver Mack (Shepherd) and Michael Salven (Serpent) along with former World Champion Adrien Bertin (HB).
Making his ENS championship debut in Austria will be reigning 1:8 European B Champion Daniel Sieber (Shepherd) who won his title at Aigen last year.
 
In 1:10, Round 1 winner Eric Dankel (Capricorn) and Top Qualifier Teemu Leino (HB) head an entry that also includes former European Champion Dirk Wischnewski (Shepherd) and Melzo finalists Dominic Greiner (Serpent), Alexander Thilo (Xray), Patrick Schafer (Shepherd) and Martin Lissau (Shepherd). For Round 2, the championship, which is supported by Xray, Serpent, Shepherd, Matrix, Contact, Enneti and Hot Race, will see Contact RC Racing tyres provide the expected 100 plus entries with their tyre needs for the 3-day event.
