From Ryan Lutz:

2014 is coming to a close. Now it’s time for me to reflect on the year and what I can improve upon for next year.

2014 was a big year for me on and off the track. I had some great results, some big disappointments, and a huge change. In all, it is shaping up to give me what I need for my best year yet in 2015.

Let’s recap some of 2014′s best race results for me:
  • I was able to win a trifecta at the popular Motorama event in February including doing a demo in front of a thousand people in the motocross arena!
  • Ran 5 classes and a jump car at the PNB. I was able to take 3 wins and it was possible for all 5 without some bad luck in the Nitro classes.
  • At Neo I made my 6th straight A-main there. Was running good with a new prototype.
  • Took a double podium in Nitro buggy and truggy at the ROAR Nationals taking 3rd in both.
  • Nitro buggy win at the Battle of the Sikest at Thunder Alley
  • My second A-main final at the IFMAR Worlds, including starting 4th on the grid for the A.
  • Double victory at the Byron Fuels Heartland Challenge
  • 2 wins and a 3rd in my first race with Tekno at Battle of the Sikest Fear Farm
  • 3 wins and a 3rd at the Fall Brawl in Myrtle Beach on my second race with Tekno.
Now to look at some of my other accomplishments that I am proud of from 2014:
  • I was able to grow my LutzRC brand 60% this year. Looking to continue that into 2015 as I will be carrying the entire Alpha Plus lineup through LutzRC!
  • I feel I have an amazing fan base in this Hobby that continues to grow and i’m so thankful for everyone. The reception from the Tekno family has been amazing.
  • With the help of those bidding, was able to donate 1,262.51 to Charity this Holiday season with proceeds from my 2014 race trophies.
  • Made a huge change from Durango to Tekno RC in November.
I want to thank all of my sponsors from 2014 who helped make it the successful season that it was.
  • Tekno RC – (NB48, NT48, EB48.2, ET48, SCT410)
  • Team Durango (I appreciate the 4 years of support! Thank you)
  • Alpha Plus (Alpha Plus Ryan Lutz Worlds Edition Engine, Alpha Plus Ryan Lutz Edition 2107 Exhaust system)
  • AKA Racing (Amazing tires, wheels, foams, that keep me fast on any surface!)
  • Byron Fuels (25/8 Worlds Blend, most consistent fuel in the industry!)
  • Futaba (4PX S9353HV, S9352HV, BLS157HV, R614FS)
  • ProTek (2600 Lipo Rx packs, 100C Full size packs, Tools.
  • Tekin (RX-8 Gen 2, Redline T8 Gen 2 1900 motor, RSX, Redline Gen 2 motors)
  • 92Zero Designs (Graphics, stickers, pit board.)
  • 4C Hobby Supply (Bearings, ceramic bearings, screws, hardware.)
  • Misunderstood Graphics (paintjobs!)
  • LutzRC, LiveRC.com, R/C Hobby of Medina
For 2015 I have no further changes planned. I’m hoping to continue with the package I have been running this past two months of 2014. 2015 I feel will be my real break-out year, if my first two races with Tekno are any indication of the help and support i’m to receive all year.

Thank you to everyone who helped shape my 2014 racing season! Here’s to an even better and more fun 2015 for all! Let’s enjoy this hobby to the fullest!
