Cody King originally signed a sponsorship deal with Kyosho as an up-and-coming nitro off-road racer who first found success in the Sportsman classes at The Dirt Nitro Challenge and Silver State in 2004. In the decade since, the 27-year-old SoCal native has racked up quite the resume including four straight IFMAR World Championships finals appearances including the 2010 title. King has made two high-profile moves since then, switching from AKA to Pro-Line to begin the 2012 season and moving from Team Orion to REDS at the start of 2013. The mutual commitment with Kyosho has remained a constant, however, and it sounds like that won't be changing anytime soon. Here's the official press release:

"Cody King has finalized a new contract with his long time chassis sponsor Kyosho. This contract extension will push the relationship between King and Kyosho to 15 years and beyond. During his tenure with Kyosho, Cody has 18 National A main appearances, 4 consecutive IFMAR Worlds final appearances, and one World Championship in 2010. Cody will compete in the 1/10 offroad, and 1/8 offroad categories using Kyosho vehicles again for 2015. The biggest race on the radar for 2015 will be the IFMAR1/10 Offroad World Championship at Yatabe Arena in Japan."
