Mugen Seiki Europe and Mugen Seiki Racing have announced the signings of Christoffer Svensson and Matt Schreffler to their nitro off-road teams in 2015.
Svensson, a multi-time Euros finalist from Sweden who previously ran for Kyosho, will be an asset to the Japanese brand throughout Scandinavian Europe.
Mugen said, “We predict great things from this super fast Scandinavian driver. He will be attending national and international events in 2015 piloting all Mugen Seiki racing cars.”
Svensson said, “I want to thank Mugen Seiki for giving me this chance to join one of best racing teams in our sport. Since I started racing RC I have always admired Mugen’s passion for racing and quality of products. I’m very motivated to take the next step in my racing career and working together with the Mugen Seiki racing team with the support they offer makes it the perfect place to be to achieve this. I already feel welcome in the team and I hope we can achieve great success together. I want to thank Lee Martin and the whole Mugen Seiki team for this opportunity.”
Former Serpent driver Matt Schreffler will also be campaigning Mugen Seiki 1:8 Off-Road vehicles this season, with the Southern California native joining the team run by Mugen’s U.S. headquarters. Here’s what Mugen said:
“Mugen Seiki Racing is very excited to announce the signing of Matt Schreffler through the 2015 racing season; Matt Schreffler will join the Mugen USA Factory Team and compete for wins against major manufactures at most major events.”
