I met Jimbo Kvidera of RC Addiction at this year’s Dirt Nitro Challenge, where he showed me his engine heaters and introduced me to the line of NitroPro fuel. Kvidera and one of his drivers, Paul Ciccarello, both scored podium finishes in the 40+ classes and Ciccarello won the Truck division. I chatted with Kvidera in the pit area at RC Tracks of Las Vegas during qualifying on Friday evening about a variety of topics before he asked me if I had a minute to take a picture of something. The tone of his voice changed from casual conversation to excitement when I asked him what he had for me.

“I just picked up Dylan Rodriguez!” he said.

“Jimbo approached me at Nitro Challenge,” said Rodriguez, “and I tested the fuel for about a week - just to see if it was as good or better than what I was running before.” Not only is Rodriguez one of the fastest racers in Nevada and a member of the powerhouse AMain.com team, but he also works at RC Tracks of Las Vegas. “It turned out to be better,” he said.

The deal is so new that Rodriguez hadn’t yet received his new t-shirts.

“He’s the biggest name I’ve signed so far, and we’re working on more,” said Kvidera, who was pumped about how a pro driver like Rodriguez joining the team offers an opportunity to show how his fuel can run with the best. “And this will work out great for Dylan, because when he starts coming out to races back East he can stay with me,” said Kvidera.

“Finally,” said Kvidera, “my West coast trips are paying off.”
