MaxAmps posted the following message to their Facebook page on Monday, inducting Chris Licata into their "100 mph club." Members of the 70 mph and 100 mph clubs have their photos and links to videos of their speed runs posted on the MaxAmps website.

Licata's vehicle of choice was a Traxxas Slash 4x4 fitted with the Scalpel body and front bumper conversion from JConcepts, along with a Castle Creations motor/ESC combo and other aftermarket parts.

Chris and his son, Louis, documented the run on YouTube as Chris drove the truck to its fastest run ever on an empty public road. The video was published on May 25 as episode 103 of Chris' "Everyday RC Guy" YouTube series.
