Ty Tessmann was among the latest pro drivers to post photos of his 2WD and 4WD buggies waiting for the trip to Japan for next week's IFMAR Worlds - he even shot the photo on astroturf! The 4WD ROAR National champion in 2013 and 2014 will be competing at Yatabe Arena with his D216 prototype and D413 buggies.

Testing and rebuilds are done, ready for the flight to Japan tomorrow.

Both cars in the photo are fitted with front wings, which we expect will be used on most cars on the astroturf circuit. Unlike other front wings, which tend to resemble rear wings with upward-folded side dams, the Lexan pieces bolted to the shock towers of Ty's buggies fold downward at the edges to more closely match the shape of the front shock tower.

Ty's Facebook post didn't include any information about the wings, but the mold lines and clean shape suggest this was a professional job - if not created by HB, perhaps through Ty's relationship with Pro-Line Racing.

We'll post more information as it's available.
