TND Designs 3-gear mid-motor transmission for RB6

With the need of tuning options for a 2wd buggy growing more everyday. Sometimes it's hard to find the right part. Kyosho's RB6 mid motor is currently only available with a 4 gear transmission. That was until 16 year old aspiring engineer Tilar Pollack sat down at his computer and designed a bolt in 3 gear case. Tilar went trough several 3D printed renderings testing fitment and clearance specs. He wanted to make sure factory parts could be used from the existing bearings, shafts and differential. After some simple adjustments a direct fit 3 gear case was ready for track tests.

Young Pollack had to wait for the weekend to come to test but the 11th grader also had his eyes on other plans. He previously developed and tested with success a reinforced top deck for the ZX6 as well. With the guidance of his parents Mike and Denise, along with help from close friends TND Designs began to become a reality.

With the final rendering installed Pollack turned laps at his local track Beachline Raceway. It very quickly was apparent to the master mind, the RB6 was totally different as he could enter corners with more aggression. The car was also easier to correct on jumps and adjust mid jump to set up for landings.
