Novarossi has introduced two new engines: a MITO 35 World Champion mimicking the configuration used by Simon Kurzbuch to win last year’s IFMAR 1/8-Scale Worlds in Brazil, as well as a new off-road engine called the P5 XLT 16.

The MITO 35 World Champion is a long-stroke, 9-port engine with dual ceramic bearings. It’s available as a box set with a #41016 manifold, #51010 tuned pipe, C8TGFB glow plug and an INS-Box. The engine is also available with steel front and rear bearings (called the MITO 35WCA) and a hybrid version (MITO 35 WCH)

Specs:
Displacement: 3,49 cc
R.P.M. (max power): 41.800 RPM
Bore x stroke: 16,26x16,80 mm
Sleeve: 9 ports
Rear ball bearings: ceramic
Front ball bearings: ceramic
Crankshaft: 14,5 mm - turbo - tuned
Carburetor: aluminium - 9 mm - slide 3 adj.
Glowplug: Turbo (C8TGFB)
Exhaust position: rear
Starting: standard
Weight: 337 g
Fuel type: 25% nitro

The main feature of the P5 XLT 16, a 5-port off-road engine, is a special back plate shaped to reduce dead space and fitted with a steel plate to extend the life of the connecting rod. The engine is tuned for linear power delivery and maximum fuel mileage, with a large-bore crankshaft intake for increased flow of the air/fuel mixture. The R7 aluminum connecting rod is shaped to reduce turbulence, and the engine includes a 3-needle, reverse-type composite carburetor.

Specs:
Displacement: 3,49 cc
R.P.M. (max power): 35.000 RPM
Practical range: 6.000-36.500 R.P.M.
Bore x stroke: 16,26x16,80 mm
Sleeve: 5 ports
Rear ball bearings: steel
Front ball bearings: steel
Crankshaft: 14 mm - turbo
Carburetor: plastic - 9 mm - reverse
Glowplug: Turbo (C6TGC)
Exhaust position: rear
Starting: standard
Weight: 373 g
Fuel type: 25% nitro

Rear cover:

The rear cover presents a round shape to optimize the filling and reducing the dead spaces. the steel plate is to reduce friction and to expand the lifespan of the conrod.

Sleeve:

The sleeve has 5 transfer ports to supply a linear power output and to keep fuel consumption low.

Crankshaft:

The crankshaft is manufactured with a larger bore intake to increase the mixture flow; and has a special shape to optimize gas-flows in the engine.

Conrod:

The R7 conrod is made from a super light aluminum which has been checked ultrasonic. The specific form of the R7 creates little turbulence inside the engine while running.

Carburetor:

This carburetor is made from plastic and have a sliding throttle valve. (reverse type). This new three tuning needles gives a better idle and improves the ability of the engine to return to low rpm after throttling.

Glow plug:

The glow plug of engine is a Turbo type glow plug. Turbo glow plugs have a different shape than Standard glow plugs and therefore are not interchange able with engines that are using Standard glow plugs!

Combustion chamber:

The combustion chamber is supported by an O-Ring which is placed between the combustion chamber and the crankcase to reduce the vibrations of the combustion chamber.
