Team Powers will soon release a new second-generation lineup of spec- and modified-class brushless motors based on its previous Actinium design. The stator has been redesigned for lower resistance and improved efficiency, and together with a new case design that emphasizes air flow operating temperatures are said to be reduced by 10-15 degrees. Rotors made with new neodymium magnets produce a nearly 10% stronger magnetic field and fade less over the course of a long main event. Finally, a new end bell design offers greater adjustment of motor timing for greater control over performance to suit track conditions. The motor is expected to be released in a range of modified and stock windings. Here’s what Team Powers said:

Actinium V2 Motor is coming soon!!

  • Improved features based on Actinium V1.0 motor:
  • Come with new type neodymium sintered rotor with stronger magnetic field and improve the fade out problem working at high temperature
  • New stator design with better power efficiency and lower the motor temperature
  • ~8~10% internal resistance(13.5T~21.5T) lower than the V1 motor with new wiring technique
  • New air flow convection system that can lower the temperature by 5~8'C
  • New endbell with more timing adjustment
