Body development is never quite finished, but in the case of the new 1/8th truck body by JConcepts, the Finnisher is a polished product. The winner of the 2016 ROAR National Championship, the Finnisher body in the hands of Ryan Maifield is a proven commodity. JConcepts is here to support the 1/8th truck class with a Finnisher body which is a drop fit on to the Mugen MBX-7TR racing truck.

The #0335 body incorporates pre-dimpled locations for one of the hottest truggies on the circuit and the 2017 Dirt Nitro Challenge champion. The slight cab forward, raked windshield and aggressive stance highlight a performance oriented core. A wide front hood scoop allows plenty of clearance for the unique Mugen MBX-7TR shock geometry. The body incorporates a large center fin which begins on the roof line and finishes just past the half-way point on the bed. Extended front chin spoiler, headlight and grill protect the front-end from unwanted up-drafts during flight while the supplied decals stand-out like an 18 wheeler.

The Finnisher has a built-in air escape passage on the roof which allows the customer to fine-tune the body for maximum outdoor performance. The new body includes champion rear name plates which provide additional high-speed stability and improved positioning of the rear bed rails to strengthen the assembly. Overall handling has been improved by balancing the bias between the cab location and rear wing placement which control the majority of the aero affects of the aggressively styled body. JConcepts has added a new item to the Shapeways store for those XRAY XB2 owners who have the Laydown 3-gear transmission. The gear shield is a protection device that adds some protection to the spur gear while also shielding the body from unwanted scratches and rubs associated with normal driving use and wear and tear during a typical race outing. The shield is designed for a maximum spur gear size of 81 and works best with JConcepts S2 and F2 bodies.

The item is being offered in the Shapeways store as an early option to team drivers and consumers racing the XRAY XB2 with Laydown transmission.

About this Product:

The XRAY XB2 Laydown transmission gear shield, designed by JConcepts is now available exclusively through Shapeways. The 3D printed part slides directly on the XRAY 3-gear transmission case and aligns with the stock geometry. The motor plate installs just over the gear shield and is positioned as normal. The gear shield is protection for the spur gear itself but also protects the low-profile body designs such as the JConcepts S2 and F2 bodies.
