We wanted to make sure of the quality of the Korean "Highest" servos and to do so, to get to the heart of so much technology enclosed in 70g of weight we have used our best bulldozer. This time our in-depth test has been dealt to one of the "Highest" servo, the D2000, suitable for either 1/8 Off-Road or 1/8 On-Road.

Here, as in every Highest servo, the Korean manufacture is the master, starting from the case where nothing has been left to chance, the accurate beveled edges and the bold lines combined with a black anodized finish accentuate the shapes, transmitting to the eye human elegance combined with an unparalleled look. The completely high-quality 6061-T6 aluminum case has been designed and built on three levels, each one including o-ring seal against dust and moisture, machined as well as gears with CNC machines. The central part of the case has been specially milled from solid, to favor the dissipation of heat in order to favor an exemplary functioning even in the most difficult conditions.

The gears as already mentioned are machined with CNC machines and manufactured entirely in high-strength steel, supported by two bearings of dimensions 6x10x2.5 built to the highest standards of precision that at a first examination we can attribute an Abec construction tolerance 5- 7, specification that ensures an extremely smooth and efficient transmission thus offering a linear feel and a more precise control of the movement and position of the servo, all amplified by a higher quality potentiometer of which the Koreans ensure a long life of 1,000,000 of cycles. The engine, the heart of the servo control, is a coreless ultra efficient High Voltage, remembering in fact that the servocontrol can be powered at 7.4V delivering a torque of 21.2kg / cm at a transient or better "slew rate" as say the British of 0.07sec / 60 °, data that I would like to point out to be "REAL". The aforementioned torque and speed characteristics were possible thanks to the use of the coreless motor, which being as the word itself says "Without Core" ie with the presence on the rotor of only the windings, allows the servo to have a good cue in acceleration and a bigger couple.

Highest closes the package with a 25T aluminum bracket included in the package together with various small parts and not a trifle of the excellent bushings in place of the usual rubbers that always arouse many doubts in many pilots. I personally had the pleasure of testing this model of servo and I can confirm its superior quality by referring it "snake" for its impressive response speed and a driving feeling worthy of a "cobra", now there is nothing left to prove it to refute my feelings! See you at the next review of a new "Highest" model!
