Schumacher releases new "Wave" 1:5 scale offroad tire

Large scale R/C racing continues to grow in popularity as more and more manufacturer's jump into the scene. Schumacher has announced today their all-new "Wave" tire for 1:5 scale offroad racing.

Schumacher Racing are pleased to announce their first tyre for the large scale off road racing class.

The Schumacher Wave tyre is based on the legendry minispike and spiral tyres which have been hugely successful in 1/10th and 1/8th scale racing.

The unique Wave pattern features denser spikes in the middle to maximise forward traction progressing to fewer at the edges to reduce aggressiveness when cornering.

The Wave is available in Yellow compound for grass and astro tracks and in the softer silver compound for wet weather racing. Designed to fit on 110 mm diameter wheels. Tyre diameter = 154 mm. Tyre width = 65 mm.

The tyre made its debut at the British large scale national in Wakefield just last weekend. Ian Oddie set TQ in the wet round with the Silver Wave tyres by a stunning 11 seconds. He used the yellow tyres in the final to finish a strong 2nd with Dave Ashton, also on Schumacher Wave tyres in 5th.
