Trinity has announced today their new Certified 1S Oval LiPo Packs. These packs are designed clearly for race winning performance, not longevity or a long-life span. Trinity has released the new battery packs with explaining them with the following press release:

"These are “Pro-Battery Packs”. The technology we have used to produce the highest Voltage and lowest Internal Resistance ever seen for a 1S pack is similar to “THE PUSHING TECHNOLOGY” we used in the late 90’s with great success!

For this reason we will not offer any warranty on these packs nor guarantee any cycle life. Racing is a trade-off and to obtain the numbers for voltage and IR we have attained, there is no possible way to guarantee the “internal specifications” of the battery nor the amount of cycle life we will have compared to a normal 1S Li-Po. We have been achieving voltage of 3.75v and Internal Resistance numbers of 1.4. (Numbers will vary “batch to batch”).

Like the Certified Line of stators, rotors and motors, we will only sell the top 5% of every battery batch we receive. These will be limited just like the stators, rotors and batteries due to the specifications we want to deliver and the labor involved with producing them.

With every form of racing or technology there is a trade-off and we have the same here. The technology we have used to increase the voltage has also reduced the mAh of the 1S pack. We have tested the 1S extensively on the oval tracks and for 13.5 and 17.5 there is more than enough mAh to finish any event and the increased voltage just continues to pull through the entire heat so your pack is almost as fast as it is at the end of the heat as it was at the start of the heat!

If mAh is your prime concern or you are just racing modified, we suggest you stay with the normal REV2018-5 packs."
