SILVER STATE: Sneak peek at new DE Racing SpeedLine Plus short course wheel

Not only do many RC companies of all sizes have team drivers participating in this year's Silver State, but several have booths set up to show off products as well. I stopped by the DE Racing tent to say hello to Chris Vierra, and amid an array of wheels in all colors for all off-road vehicle types, I spotted something new that I hadn't yet seen a press release for.

After releasing their new line of wheels with the "Sure Lock" design for 1/8-scale buggies and trucks, and more recently 1/10-scale buggies, DE Racing is preparing to release a similar option for short course trucks. The rings running around the center of the wheel combine with the raised sides to stop the foam insert from shifting around without needing to glue or tape the foam in place.
