Race report from Tyler Jones:

Here is my race report from this last 4th of July weekend. I attended two different races in three days with great success.

First race I attended was at Stateline Rc in Fremont,IN. This track really deserves a national event!! This was their annual Firecracker race. The race brought in 222 entries for the one day race.

In pro nitro buggy my TLR 8B 3.0 powered by my LRP engine with The Nitro Shop fuel mileage mod sipping on Bones Brew fuel and hooked to the track with JConcepts new Triple D's in green compound were on kill and laid a blistering qualifying speed capturing the Tq spot!! Main time came and I led wire to wire!!

In pro nitro truggy my TLR 8T 3.0 powered by my LRP engine with The Nitro Shop fuel mod sipping on Bones Brew and hooked to the track with JConcepts Hybrids in green compound would again capture the Tq spot! Main time came and I pulled away a little and would bobble big time falling back. Started charging back up but would have a glow plug go bad and ended my main. Little disappointing but I know the truck is now capable of doing what I need it to do. The nitro buggy is more important to me and that's really what we test so much with and results show!

After getting home around 5:00 a.m Sunday morning, I was up at 7:30 charging battery for ebuggy to race at Backyard Rc for their cash race.

In qualifying I would run my newly built TLR 8BE 8.0 for its first time on an outdoor track. I got to test it for two battery packs indoors this winter and it has sit since. The LRP motor and esc performed awesome all day with plenty of rip!! We got to the track and got one battery in before qualifying started. I would tq both qualifiers on the sandy rough conditions with only a minor setup change.

We ran double A mains with an inversion for the second. I finished second in first main so I would start next to last in second. In second main I picked my way through traffic with some good battles and come home with the win and the overall win for the cash!!
