The battle for the overall Top Qualifier spot will come down to 2007 and 2013 IFMAR World Champions as Neil Cragg earned his second TQ run to finish up Day Two of 2WD action. He narrowly edged young USA sensation Spencer Rivkin by just .235 seconds to close out the fourth round of qualifying on Monday, 2013 runner-up Lee Martin joined the top two with an 18-lap run. Jörn Neumann and Kody Numedahl rounded out the top five, the best finish of the day for both drivers.
With two TQ’s and a second place finish, Neil Cragg has a five-point lead with one round left to go in the best-three-of-five format. Rivkin’s four top-four finishes are good for second best. In the fourth round, Jared Tebo had his worst run of the day, as he finished just 18th - and while he’s third, he could still earn TQ with another round win in the morning.
