Sik Track Designs’ first-ever SikCross race was held at Pro-Line’s test track in Banning, CA last weekend, combining a Supercross-style starting gate and direct-transfer qualifying format with a chance at a $1000 bonus for winning both Pro nitro classes.

Sik Track Designs founder Levi Jackson sculpted the dirt at the large outdoor facility into a tricky, busy course that provided a challenge for drivers in every class. You can see the starting gate near the bottom right corner, which released the cars and trucks down the front straightaway.

Tekno RC’s Ryan Lutz was the fastest qualifier in the Pro E-Buggy class, but his teammate Joe Bornhorst won the overall title ahead of Ryan Cavalieri, with Lutz third.

Driving a prototype Team Associated vehicle, Ryan Cavalieri earned the Pro Truck victory ahead of TQ Ty Tessmann, with Lutz again taking the final step on the podium.

Unfortunately for Cavalieri, he came up one spot short of the big payday as reigning national and world champion Ty Tessmann beat him in the Pro Buggy final. Cody King finished third.

Here are the top three finishers in the other divisions:

Intermediate Buggy

Intermediate Truck

Open E-Buggy

Sportsman Buggy

Sportsman Truck

40+ Buggy
