Race report from Serpent (by Eric Hanna):

Griff and I headed to Charlotte NC area to check out Speed RC. They had their Thanksgiving Showdown race and ended up with 109 entries. This was our first time there and with practice only 2hrs long, it was a mad scramble for set up and tire choice.

Griffin Hanna ran 4wd and 2wd buggy. After three rounds of qualifying,he was able to grab TQ. For the main he found himself in a battle with young gun Levi Jakson. Levi had to retire early with mechanical issues. That would allow Griff to grab the win.

In 2wd he qualified in the 3rd spot. In the main, the top 3 would put a small gap on the field. Tq Max Flurer would lead Robert W.meyer Jr. and Griff around for the first few laps. The 3 would trade positions numerous times. While this was going on, home town young Allex Mueller caught the 3 and made a charge to the front. He and Griff mixed it up a few laps and after the dust settled, Griffin was able to take the checkered flag with the win.

The track had low grip which made tire choice and set up crucial. Both Serpents ran great all day and we made a few minor changes. We ran JConcept green smoothies and with Frank Deiny pineapple tire sauce made for a good combination. What can I say about our Tekin equipment but awesome! The RSX ESC and new GEN 3 motors worked great. Also Thanks to Beach Hobbies,Highest RC servos and Avid for the support. Thanks again to all our sponsors!!!
