Race report from REDS Racing:

Wet weekend of racing down in Savannah, GA for the Colonels Winter Classic. It rained on friday so I was in no rush to go practice in the mud! Eduardo Cordoba and I loaded up and headed to the track Saturday morning for a little bit of practice. The track was still really muddy but needed some track time. By the start of qualifying, the track had became really tacky but not holding much mud. I managed to TQ round 1 in buggy and I blew out in the 2nd. Truggy was a struggle from the start but managed to qualify 4th.

Qualifiers were shortened due to the call of making a 2 day race, into a 1 day race. This was a huge call by Patrick Rossiter as rain was approaching for Sundays main day.

We finally came around to the nitro mains at about 1am. The track had dried out throughout quals and became slightly tacky again for the mains due to moisture. At the sound of the tone, I was able to lead the buggy race from start to finish, with JConcepts Teammate Griffin Hanna finishing in the 2 spot. In truggy, I got a good clean start and ended up taking home the 2 spot, behind TLR teammate J.r. Mitch!

All in all it was a really long 24 hour day of racing while operating on 2 hours of sleep. Huge props to Patrick and the Phil hurd track crew on getting the track ready for us to race on. Couldn't have been any better than what it was, and I'd like to thank my sponsors for their support.
