Novotny swept Open Challenge finale to clinch both class titles

XB4 & XB2 win at VIII. Open Challenge 2015/16

The last round of Open Challenge series took place in Ruzyne last weekend. As usual organisers prepared open fast track with some big jumps. From previous rounds we more or less knew what conditions to expect and made good starting set-ups for both my XB2 and XB4’1

In 2wd qualifications my Team Orion powered XB2 got faster every round and TQed all three qualifications ahead of Michal Blahovsky and Vaclav Broz. In 4wd my XB4’16 was dialled since the first lap gained easily overall TQ by TQing first two rounds. 

In 2wd finals I had some good fights with Michal Blahovsky and managed to take the win in all three finals! 

2wd TOP 10:

2. Michal Blahovsky – Sworkz
3. Vaclav Broz – Sworkz
4. Martin Koncel – Xray
5. Vlastimil Smolik – Xray
6. Frank Hempel – Durango
7. Jindrich Jirak – Xray
8. Arnold Lorenz – Durango
9. Thomas Mager – Team C
10. Jan Vild – Durango   

In 4wd finals my Orion powered XB4’16 won all three finals almost a lap ahead of second driver and set the fastest lap of the race!

As this was the last race of the series, there was also overall price giving ceremony, where I took the title in both 2wd&4wd classes.

4wd TOP 3 Championship:

1. Kaja Novotny – Xray
2. Vaclav Broz – Sworkz
