Double victory for Yeung at MRC Summer Offroad Buggy Race

Race report from Carson Yeung:

Jonathan Yeung DOUBLE WINS in MRC 1/8 Buggy off-road summer race

This is the first race of MRC track in year 2016, MRC is located in Foshan, Southern part of China. Racers from South China region as well as Hong Kong racers participate in this race.

2 time China National Champion Jonathan Yeung and his father Carson Yeung (2016 China National Champion in Nitro Truggy class) from Hong Kong driving Tekno NB48.3 and EB48.3 to compete in 1:8 Nitro Buggy class and 1:8 EP Buggy class respectively. Again Jonathan demonstrate his speed and consistency by winning in both classes. Jonathan also wins 5 straight qualify round TQ in EP Buggy class to claim overall TQ.

In the Nitro Buggy Class A main final, Jonathan started with grid #2, but he suffered from traffic at the first beginning of the race. Then his patient and consistency gain him better position lap after lap. After race started about 30min, the leader Mr. Li made mistake and Jonathan took the lead. However, intense competition between Jonathan and Li is still going, they swap the lead for several times before race finish. The dramatic finish at the final lap let Jonathan wins in Nitro Buggy Class. At the final lap, both made mistake but Jonathan took the final chance and wins the race and leave Li in 2nd position. His father Carson got 3rd position after 45min A main final.

In 1/8 EP Buggy class, Jonathan and Carson dominate the qualify rounds and Jonathan wins overall TQ while Carson got 2nd overall position. In A main final rounds, Jonathan took the lead as expected while Carson followed in 2nd position. The final result is Jonathan wins A main Champion, Carson in 2nd psotion, Mark in 3rd position.
