The PROTOform Western Canadian Indoor Championship Series Round 3 brought racing excitement to the small town of Airdrie, Alberta. Hosted by Karz, it was a warm winter weekend for racing! The third event, but the first time in Alberta running the new AAA Main finals format; with racers enjoying 2-3x the racing on Sundays, and AAA consistency quickly becoming the major focus for racers!

RC America/XRay TC Mod: Team Associated's Peter Toszer dominated the first 2 rounds, with XRay's Ryan Rice and Team Awesomatix Korgae Scales taking second spots. Top Privateer Josh Carter took the R3 A main, setting the final results as Peter, Korgae and Josh.

Team Great Hobbies TC Stock: Again the biggest class of the weekend, WCICS President and top Privateer Josh Carter would watch the R3 main after back to back wins in the first two rounds. Dwayne Flodell and Cal Freeman in R1, and Dwayne and Jim Chapman in R2 had Dwayne set for 2nd overall, but after a bit of bad luck in R3 for Dwayne, Cal would take the win and 2nd overall. Final order: Josh, Cal, Dwayne.

Blinds Plus Tamiya Mini: Ivan Chan took the first two rounds, with Walter Slany and Dennis Liew crossing the line in R1, and then reversing their order for R2; meant the battle for 2nd was on! Throwing a wrench in the mix, Dennis would take R3, and then Carter Herasymiuk would get ahead of Walter, cementing the final order as Ivan, Dennis, Walter.

ATD Hobbies Scale Spec: The Legend of Saskatoon, Gary Lanzer would dominate Scale Spec, taking both wins! Cal took both seconds, and Dennis Liew both thirds. Cal would take the R3 win, finalizing the Gary, Cal, Dennis final podium.

CRC 12th Stock: In the second biggest class the R1 & R2 domination streak ended. Al Mikesic won the first main, followed by Ivan Chan and Jim Chapman for an all Calgary trio. XRay's Ryan Rice from Saskatoon fought back in round 2 to take the win and make it a battle in R3, followed by Ivan and Al. Ryan would win R3, followed by Cal and Dean Temple. With a mix like that, after all the ties were sorted out, it was Ryan, Al, and Ivan on the podium!

Reedy 12th Mod: In the fastest class of the weekend, Team Associated's Peter Toszer dominated R1 & R2. Josh Carter would finish 2nd both rounds, and Ivan Chan 3rd. However, Dean Temple would upset R3, taking the win, and launching himself onto the podium; Peter, Josh and Dean taking home the trophies!

Gripworks F1:  Mission BC's Korgae Scales, in his first season running F1 would take both wins, followed by Cal Freeman both rounds. Earl Towson and Blaine Everingham took thirds spots in R1 & R2. Then Earl would dominate R3, with Cal again finishing 2nd, and Walter Slany 3rd. Final order was Korgae, Cal and Earl.

Concourse was awarded to Dwayne Flodell, with all 3 top picks receiving a PROTOform body with which to create their next masterpiece!
