X FACTORY WINS BIG AT TENNESSEE WINTERCHAMPS

X Factory had a great time with amazing results at the 2017 Tennessee Winterchamps hosted at Thunder RC in Nashville the weekend of March 24-26. Owner Robert Dirla plans to replace his dirt with a carpet off-road track, so this was likely the last trophy race on their wonderful yellow river-bottom dirt.

Paul Sinclair took the pole position in both 2wd modified buggy and 2wd mod Short Course, armed with his Infinity-equipped B6 and X Factory SCX-61, respectively. Paul said, "In 2wd buggy Jeremy Daniels challenged me all weekend. We swapped TQ runs through qualifying, each pushing the other faster, and I was able to lay down the only 25 lap run of the weekend to finally secure the #1 grid spot."

In the Short Course A main, contact between the 2nd and 3rd qualified drivers in the second corner gave Paul an early lead he wouldn't relinquish. His SCX-61 was on rails and he cruised through traffic to victory.

The 2wd buggy A main was a different story, with Paul and Jeremy battling through several lead changes to the very end. An early wreck made things dicey for TQ Sinclair. Paul reports, "I was able to gap the field a little bit over the first minute or so, but I rolled my B6 getting on the straight away and Jeremy got through. Pushing hard I caught back up to Jeremy, and we battled through the second half of the race. On the very last lap I turned up the pressure and came out on top. It was an excellent, hard-fought race, and I'm glad I came away with the narrow victory."

X Factory Family member Cameron Kersell also took the TQ and win in stock SC with his XF Infinity equipped SC5m.
