Spiniello and Raiola won Italian Manufacturer's Championship finale

Last weekend the second and last round of the Italian Manufacturer's Championship took place on the World famous venue of Gubbio, central Italy. With the majestic track making for a perfect scenery for the season finale and a highly competitive field in both the 1/10th 200mm and the 1/8th class, the championship proved to be once again one of the best events in the Italian on-road scene.

The 1/10th final saw the win of BMT's Mario Spiniello at the end of an intense battle with Daniele Ielasi, the latter trying to complete the 45 minutes without changing tires but eventually running out of foam on his rims to be passed by Mario in the penultimate lap! The privateer Francesco Pierella completed the podium ahead of Xray's Giuseppe Mussolini and Serpent's Michele Scaglioni.

In the Manufacturer's championship it was Capricorn to take the chassis title thanks to Strano's win in Fiorano and Pierella's third place in Gubbio, while Ielasi Tuned would be crowned with the engines title, Energy and Matrix winning respectively best fuel and tires.

The 1/8th A-Main would see an outstanding battle for the lead between Raiola's Infinity and Mazzeo's Xray until the RX8 of the 200mm vice-World champion was forced to retire due to a loose servo horn screw. From that moment on Carmine Raiola has been able to cruise to a deserved win ahead of his Infinity team-mates Balestri and Tironi.

In the championship, Infinity claimed the chassis title with 2 wins (Balestri in Fiorano and Raiola in Gubbio), with Max Power and Runner Time winning the respective titles while Matrix won the Tires title at the second tie-breaker with Hotrace.
