This past weekend hosted the 2017 AKA King of Dirt Oval Championship at Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs, Missouri. Many of the top dirt oval racers in the midwest gathered alongside a competitive crowd of Kansas City area racers to chase the crown as the "king" of their respective classes. In addition crowning the dirt oval kings, AKA provided $100 contingency in various classes for the highest place finishers running AKA tires.

While the racing started under the hot summer afternoon sun, the AKA King of Dirt would come to an end with the wheel-to-wheel main events, based on laps rather than time, taking place under the lights.
