Team Durango Race Report:

Team Durango has returned from the final round of the EOS race calendar with what can only be described as a truly dominant collection of results. With the worlds top manufacturers attempting to topple the vice grip that Jörn Neumann has exerted on this whole series so far, the final round was a world-class affair.

Jörn can be described in many ways, and we are sure that most shining compliments have been used hundreds of times when referring to his truly epic off-road racing skills. To say he is THE man to beat at EOS would be an understatement. With a record of winning every round that proceeded this final race meeting, Jörn has been racing like a Team Durango guided missile.

The final EOS round provided Jörn and his Team Durango colleagues with the perfect platform to show the world just how powerful they are. With Jörn taking charge of 2WD, 4WD buggy and 4WD Short Course, the rest of the team made the other attending manufacturers EOS event rather uncomfortable by finishing with more top ten places than any other chassis company competing. Jörn completed his perfect EOS campaign by securing first overall in all three classes!. This feat alone is breathtaking, but when you also consider that he battled with, and defeated, 239 other drivers in the process, it becomes clear the true enormity of his achievements at the EOS. Many of the top racers from all over the world have fallen to the skills of the Team Durango super racer during this series.

With Team Durango returning with a formidable collection of top spot results across all platforms, our focus must switch to the off-road whirlwind that is Michal Orlowski. The youngest Team Durango team driver competiting at the prestigious EOS meetings, Michal took just 11 years of life experience to the competition, and raced more like a driver some 15 years his senior! Let us just really solidify this important point here folks. Michal Orlowski is just 11 years old!

His 4WD buggy performance during the final EOS event was truly epic by any racers standards. Michal TQ’d his second round of 4WD qualifying with a finish that put him 4.4 seconds ahead of reigning World Champion Ryan Cavalieri. Team Durango super star Hupo Hönigl was also on world-class race form. His second overall in 4WD buggy and fourth overall in 2WD buggy further added to his solid performance during every qualifying round of the unfolding race action. Hupo always brings a high level of professionalism to his racing, and his fast pace is always an inspiration to his Team Durango colleagues at such high profile events. Hupo continues to provide Team Durango with a level of consistency that is hard to match.

Oliver Speith, Kaja Novotny and Markus Metsch all enjoyed top ten qualifier success during the event, with Team Durango racing colours becoming ubiquitous with EOS wins throughout the meeting. Team Durango secured more finishing positions than any other competing manufacturers, and fielded a race team that is sure to form a force to be reckoned with during this years upcoming European and World Championship campaigns.

Jörn Neumann is the ‘EOS King’ and Team Durango have once again shown that racing is not just their passion,. but it is truly their profession.
