LRP Race Report:

At the first round of the BRCA 1:8 scale national series, Elliott Boots took a dominant win in the electric buggy class!

Herts Nitro Model Club just north of London hosted the first round of the BRCA truggy and 1/8th EP buggy nationals. A total of 96 drivers attended the race.

In the EP buggy class, LRP and Sanwa driver Elliott Boots was the dominating racer. With his commanding performance and perfectly working equipment, Elliott took the coveted top qualifier spot after three rounds of qualifying. In leg one of the A-main, Elliott made a couple of small mistakes that allowed Simon Willets to stay in touch in the early stages, but Elliott regained his concentration to pull away to a comfortable win. Legs two and three were a Boots showcase. He lead from start to finish and drove to an impressively sure victory! Karl Jackson finished 2nd ahead of Simon Willetts in 3rd.

Elliott’s EP buggy was powered by the top of the line LRP brushless system for 1/8th scale racing. LRP Dynamic 8 motor and LRP iX8 brushless speed control gave another proof of their outstanding performance. After winning the German 1/8th scale EP buggy title and other victories at prestigious race events in the US and Italy, the Blue is Better system now also stood out in the UK. Elliot reported “lots of progressive power” from his LRP equipped vehicle, allowing him to hook up well on the tricky surface. He used a 4-1-3-0 setting for the LRP iX8 speedo.

With the LRP LiPo Competition Car Line 7200 Big Mama battery, Elliott could be also sure to get enough power for his high-performance drive set until the last lap. His equipment was completed by the super fast response of the Sanwa Exzes-X stick transmitter and the accuracy of the Sanwa SRG-CZ servo.
