Panther Race Report:

Doug “Casper” Nielsen recently attended the Exeter Hobbies 2013 Summer Nationals. This was a race put on by the Cutler-Orosi Youth Program sending proceeds to a good cause. Racers attended from all over the central California valley to support the event. A good turnout with 10 heats of racing made for a relaxed fun day of racing. Casper showed up to the event with his Panther Tire shod Tekin/Venom powered TLR 22-SCT and TLR Ten-SCTE 2.0 ready for action. Casper was able to dominate qualifying taking top starting spots in both the Modifed 2wd SC and Expert 4wd SC classes showing his Panther Tires traction was going to be the combination to beat. As the mains were setup Casper took his TQ starting spot for the 7 min “A” mains and as the tone went off Casper got out to clean start and pulled away with the win running consistent laps in both classes and having the only 4wd SC truck to break into the 12 second lap times. This was a great event and Exeter Hobbies has an amazing facility in central California. The hobby shop is well stocked and the owner and staff are super friendly and welcoming. "I am already looking forward to making the trip up there for another fun event. If you are in the area make sure to stop by Exeter Hobbies and check out this amazing facility," says Nielsen.
