Ronald Volker wins his third consecutive Euro Touring Series Championship

In one of the most highly anticipated Touring Car events ever at the most impressive R/C facility ever built, Team PROTOform’s Ronald Volker outpaced 3-time IFMAR World Champion Marc Rheinard to capture the round win at Hudy Racing Arena and clinch a three-peat in the prestigious Euro Touring Series.

Equipped with a PROTOform LTC-R on the pristine asphalt track at Hudy Racing Arena in Slovakia, Ronald dominated the weekend right from the initial practice sessions all the way through TQing and sweeping the first 2 A-Mains. It was a reversal of fortunes for Volker and his main title rival Rheinard, as Volker typically dominates carpet events where Rheinard has had the upper hand on asphalt.

This time, it was all Volker, all the time as he scored his first asphalt ETS round win to wrap up the overall Series win over Rheinard. Marc made a strong comeback after a slow start to the season, winning the 4th and 5th rounds. PROTOform’s Viktor Wilck rounded out the top 3 overall, winning the series’ 3rd round in Gran Canaria.

PROTOform LTC-R’s were once again used by all 10 A-Main drivers in Slovakia, and PROTOform-equipped drivers were able to score the win at every ETS event of the season.
