This past weekend was full of wheel to wheel action from LCRC Raceway where some of the nation's best did battle for the ROAR National Championship titles in 1:8 Electric Buggy, 1:8 Electric Truck, and 4wd SCT.
In 4wd SCT it was the Dakotah Phend show from start to finish. Phend drove his TLR SCTE 2.0 to a solid TQ over Team Durango's Ryan Lutz. When it came down to the main events, "The Kid" would steal the championship title by winning A1 and A2, leaving Lutz to win A3 for a second overall.
In 1:8 Electric Truck it was once again Phend and Lutz doing battle for the top spots in qualifying. Ryan Lutz would take his Team Durango DEX408T to the top of qualifying, and follow up with a victory in A1 and A2 grabbing the overall title. Dakotah Phend would finish up 2nd overall, with Austin Blair finishing up 3rd.
1:8 Electric Buggy was an all out brawl for the title. Qualifying would see Lutz, Phend, and Blair at it again for the top spots. Phend would take TQ over Lutz and Blair, however, Blair would put in a solid victory in A1. Phend fought hard and took the win in A2, and with the title still up for grabs A3 was anyone's game. Phend and Lutz would stretch out a bit and battle to the end, with Dakotah Phend edging out Ryan Lutz for the overall win!
