Pro-Line Race Report:

This past weekend, Landen Lewis made the 6 hour trip to Gainesville, GA for the 2nd Annual Wicked Weekend. The Wicked Weekend is designed and owned by the same guys that bring you the Psycho Nitro Blast every year. With four qualifiers on Saturday, Landen was able to easily take TQ with his new Kyosho TKIe on his Pro-Line Blockade M3 tires. Landen was also able to place 2nd overall in Nitro truggy, losing the TQ honors by .0005 of a second in the first qualifier which turned out to the be the race that decided it. In Nitro Buggy, nothing would go right in any qualifier and he was not able to finish a single one. This would leave Landen having to start in the F-Main of Nitro Buggy.

On Sunday, Landen came out swinging in Nitro Buggy as all the issues were found and fixed and was able to take the win in the F-Main, E-Main, D-Main and C-Main. However, by the time he got to the B-Main, the buggy needed a break to be gone through but no time was there so unfortunately, it didn’t make the 20 Minute B-Main race all the way through. Disappointing as it was, coming back from the F-Main and almost making it to the show would have been remarkable.

In the Nitro truggy main, Landen started 2nd overall but took the lead in the first lap and had the lead until a freak incident caused Landen’s front left dog bone to come out and end his day. Even though there would be no podium in either Nitro, there was still hope to podium in E-Buggy with the triple A-Mains.

Landen took A1 by beating 2nd place by 8+ seconds. In A2, Landen was in 2nd place and battling with 1st when his Lipo battery dumped. It was so hard to go 10 minutes on such a high speed track with not enough time between races to fully charge and balance the 4S packs. So, this left A3 and Landen knew that he needed to take the win to pull off the overall victory and he did just that. This put a sweet ending to an up and down day.
