The BRCA 1:8 Electric Off-Road Championship visited the recently updated Notts and Derby Offroad Club venue for the sixth and final round of the 2013 series. Team Associated/Reedy factory driver and 14-time BRCA champion Craig Drescher was on hand and confident in his quest for number 15.

The E8 Buggy class has been hard-fought this season with Drescher and Simon Willetts fighting tooth and nail in this emerging class. Drescher found himself one step closer to the title by taking the pole position after four rounds of qualifying. But 30 minutes of racing spread out over three 10-minute legs stood between him and his 15th championship.

In dramatic fashion, Craig won leg one with Simon returning the favor in leg two to set up a one-race showdown to determine the winner of round six and the 2013 BRCA title.

Close throughout the entire season, it was only fitting that the outcome of leg three was decided by less than two seconds. Craig Drescher, driving a Reedy-powered RC8.2e, crossed the finish line first to take the round win and become the 2013 BRCA 1:8 Electric Buggy champion!
