Team Durango recently revealed a few teaser photos of their new DEX410v4 buggy, and it seems as though the buggy is off to a good start. Hupo Honigl recently attended the 2013 Indoor Dirt Race in Germany, where he would go on to win not only 2wd buggy, but 4wd buggy as well. This was Hupo's first time with the v4 machine, and clearly it worked in his favor.

Race Report by Team Durango:

Team Durango Pro driver Hupo Hönigl has returned from the 2013 Indoor Dirt Race in Germany with an overall win in 2WD and 4WD Buggy.

The hotly contested annual race meeting, held in Edling, South Germany, attracted 150 of the region’s fastest racers. The title of the meeting was far from a strong indication as to the surface on which the racers did battle, as there was not a bit of dirt in sight. The event organizer, Berhard Bachmann, had created a track that was very high-grip carpet with a collection of challenging carpet covered jumps and obstacles.

Hupo set about racing Team Durango’s recently announced DEX410v4 buggy to an overall win in the 4WD Buggy class, winning three qualifiers as he set a blistering pace. The DEX410v4 was perfectly suited to the extreme high-grip surface.

Hupo was also the man to watch in 2WD Buggy as he battled the prestigious field of racers to take overall TQ and the win. With the recent trend of extremely high-grip European track surfaces, Hupo was really excited to take this win with his DEX410v4 with the front drive shafts removed, legally being raced as a 2WD vehicle.

Hupo commented that the DEX410v4, run in 2WD configuration, was very good for this exact style of track, when the grip is extremely high and the lay-out extremely tight. This was the first time Hupo had tried this DEX410v4 configuration, and we feel it adds an even wider selection of options for racers who want versatility straight from their 4WD kit box.

We send our congratulations to Hupo for a great double win, and also send our thanks to Benni Gröschel who finished second in 4WD with his DEX410v3.
