Race Report by Team Losi Racing:
Over the weekend CVR in Madera, California held their annual Toys For Tots Race. Team Losi Racing's Phillip Atondo made the 3 hour trip to support the event along with a majority of top Northern California drivers. The CVR track crew designed an awesome layout and the track conditions were some of the best it's ever seen!
In the 1:8 electric class it was a close battle for TQ between Atondo and Austin Blair, but after 2 rounds it was Atondo on top with his Tekin powered TLR 8IGHT-E 3.0. At the start of the 1:8 electric main Atondo got in a good first lap and started to pull away from Blair. After a couple mistakes by Atondo, Blair caught up and battle was on! It came down to the last lap and both had a crash at about the same time and with one turn left Atondo edged out Blair for the win!
In the 1:8 nitro buggy class Phillip Atondo captured the TQ spot with his Team Orion powered TLR 8IGHT 3.0 Buggy on JConcepts rubber. In the nitro main Atondo ran a pretty flawless race from start to finish winning by 3 laps!
