Paul Lemieux leads XRAY to victory at the 2014 Snowbird Nationals

 

The 2014 Snowbird Nationals were held Jan 28 - Feb 2 in Orlando, FL at the Park Inn Resort. The "Birds" is the largest RC race in the world with well over 600 Total entries and many countries represented this year. Team XRAY was in attendance along with almost every other manufacturer having a team present. The Snowbirds is a unique race due to the 24hr a day racing schedule, 12hours of road and 12 hours of oval makes for a very unique experience that can only be witnessed here.

In the Blue ribbon class (Mod TC) there were four T4‘14s in the A final, Paul Lemieux, Chris Adams, Corey Parsons and Robby Dodge all had great qualifying efforts. It was XRAY’s Paul Lemieux who would get things figured out for the second day of qualifying to set TQ, then again TQ the final round of qualifying with his T4 2014. Paul would then take a convincing tone to tone Victory in the final, Marc Fisher would finish second with Kevin Hebert in third.
 
 
In the 13.5 TC class Team XRAY also had four cars in the finals, Corey Parsons, Chris Adams, Drew Ellis and Eric Anderson all ran great in qualifying, In the final it was Chris and Corey who put in great runs to finish on the podium, finishing second and third respectively.

The 17.5 TC class saw an impressive five T4‘s cars in the final. For Corey Parsons it 3for3 a-finals in TC for the weekend, Corey qualifying second with EA, Craig Xavier, Sal Amato and Danny Jenkins all running great to make the final. In the final EA had a great drive to finish second with Corey again on the podium in third!

All in all the race was one of the best ever and their was too much great racing 24hrs a day in many different disciplines to cover. We would like to thank Mike Boylan and crew for the event and also to the entire team for their great efforts!
