Race Report by X Factory:
X Factory won both the Expert 17.5 Stadium Truck and Expert 17.5 Buggy class at last weekend’s Outback Shootout held at the A Main Hobbies’ indoor track, Outback Raceway. This race used a four qualifier format and heads up racing, with qual points to determine grid positions.
X Factory Team driver Rob Moots TQed Expert 17.5 Stadium Truck, winning two of the four qualifiers. When the starting tone sounded, Rob took off cleanly, and ran a good solid race to the end, taking down the win by 5 seconds.
Family member Kyle Layton TQed the last three qualifiers to line his X – 6 Cubed up on pole for the A main. Three laps into the long main the Kyle clipped the pipe after the start/finish line and second qualifier Lavery took advantage. Nathan’ X – 6 Cubed disappeared into the sunset, taking a five second win.
