Martin Hofer wins at the 2014 Schumacher Trophy event in Italy

  

This past weekend the Team LaGang crew around Alberto Montecchi (better known as the man behind Mon-Tech Racing) hosted the Trofeo Schumacher Italy, organized by Lorenzo Bigi in the small town that is Scandiano. Hosting an ETS Event back in 2012 the club has built up an amazing facility featuring one of the biggest carpet tracks you'll find in Europe.
 
As part of the factory team, Martin Hofer made the trip to Italy. Being a two day affair, practice on saturday already highlighted the level of competiton that can be found in this area with a lot of guys doing really fast laptimes. The controlled tire being pre-glued Sorex tires proved to be a perfect decision since they delivered consistent performance throughout more than 10 runs!
 
Qualifiers saw some tough fights but it was Martin who managed to grab TQ honours in the modified category. Winning the first two finals convincingly, he wrapped up the overall win, leaving the remaining steps on the podium fully open for final number 3.
