This past weekend hosted The Dirt Pro-Line Lonestar Nitro Challenge at the enormous Thornhill Racing Circuit in Hutto, Texas. Many of the nations top drivers made the journey to cowboy country for the event, many using it as a warm-up event and testing for the upcoming ROAR 1:8 Nitro Offroad Nationals.

In the E-Buggy class it would be Hot Bodies driver, Ty Tessmann who would capture the overall TQ. In the 10-minute Single A-Final, Tessmann would dominate taking a seven second win over Josh Glancy in second, and Josh Wheeler in third.

Ty Tessmann would continue his winning ways in Pro Nitro Truggy. Tessmann started the 45-minute A-Final number one on the grid, and would cross the finish line number one as well. An impressive performance by Josh Wheeler landed him second on the podium, with Kyosho's Jared Tebo fighting his way from seventh to third at the finish.

Pro Nitro Buggy featured an IFMAR style format, running Semi-Finals to take the top drivers into the Final. Ty Tessmann was no surprise winning his Odd Semi-Final followed up by Adam Drake, Taylor Peterson, Mike Truhe, Cody King, and the remainder of the field. The big surprise came in the  Even Semi-Final when leader Jared Tebo would drop out of the race with troubles less than seven minutes from the finish. Ryan Maifield would go on to take the win followed by Ryan Lutz, Josh Wheeler, Josh Glancy, and Jake Dellinger.

The 60-minute Final was an all out brawl. While many expected Ty Tessmann to walk away with the win, it became apparent he was not the ONLY fast guy on the track. Kyosho's Cody King worked his way from sixth on the grid to the front of the pack, taking the win only two seconds ahead of the hard charging Tessmann. Ryan Maifield would round out the top three with Adam Drake and Ryan Lutz in tow.
