Kai Goff doubles up at Round 1 of THE Series 2014

 

The first race of the 2014 season of THE Series presented by Pro-Line was this past weekend at Larry's Performance R/C's in Sterling Heights, MI. Larry's has a very unigue rubberized cork racing surface that is extremely high bite and very different from the usual dirt tracks THE Series visits each year. With 152 entries, racing started on time at 9am and finished up around 6:30pm.
 
There was lots of close racing all day. Both ModX Mod 2wd Buggy and Bluebird 4wd Buggy would see very competitive A-main's with Team Associated/Reedy factory driver Kai Goff taking the victories. In Mod 2wd SC Team Associated/Reedy factory driver Brandon Weiland would take the lead at the start and hold on to it until the final minute when a few mistakes would cause him to relinquish the lead to Fantom team manager Dayton Miller.
