Tyler Jones finds victory at third round of Midwest Nitro Series

Race report from Randy Jones:

TLR driver Tyler Jones attended the third round of the Midwest Nitro Series this weekend at Thunder Road in Moline,IL. With the theme of "Big Air" for the series, Thunder Road did not disappoint!! Track had a stretched out ski jump in the center of the track and a huge triple on the back side of the track which took some great car control to land it and to setup the next turn. Several of the fastest drivers showed up to race with beautiful weather for the weekend. Tyler's weekend started Friday night with a warmup race and was able to run away with the 25 minute Pro Nitro Buggy A-main for the win with his JConcepts equipped TLR 8 3.0 powered by his Novarossi Keep-Off 4.

Saturday was the Series big race day and the racing was fast and tight. Tyler would tq Pro Nitro Buggy and qualify second in Pro Ebuggy with his JConcepts equipped TLR 8 3.0's. Ebuggy main came first and Tyler and his TLR teammate Collin Weatherholt would check out early with Collin leading. Tyler bobbled and fell back to 8th and had to run the leader back down. Lapped traffic was not on Tyler's side and he would finish second for the main.

Nitro main came around and Tyler was pumped! Tyler would get a great start and just check out for the 25 minute Pro main leading wire to wire. Lapping the entire field by at least two laps. His TLR 8 3.0 was on rails all weekend with great traction and fuel mileage.
