Alex Thurston wins at Cotswold with 747 and OS Engine
Last weekend Round 5 of the 1/10th British National championships was here at the Cotswold racetrack. Practice on Saturday was stopped three times for heavy rain, during the dry testing both Joe Kerry and Alex Thurston were working together to get the best from their 747 touring cars. In the 220mm GT class Glyn Beal was finding the competition much harder at this race with Peter Hellawell and Adam Crosland back on form.
Sunday morning the weather was much better, after 5 rounds of qualifying Joe Kerry took TQ for Touring Car and Glyn Beal for GT. Both were using SERPENT 747 cars, OS Engines and XCEED Tyres.
Touring Cars final was won by Alex Thurston with Joe Kerry second and John Zotel taking third place.
Alex and Joe will both be completing at the European Championships next week in Spain, good luck.
GT final was won by Glyn Beal with Peter Hellawell second and Adam Crosland in third place.
Next round will be on 30th & 31st August at the very fast Halifax track.
